Bridal Bliss Classic- August 24, 2014

In August we participated in the Bridal Bliss Classic at Hilton in downtown Lexington. All of the booths were amazing this year and we were so proud of the booth Fields in Bloom put together. We wanted the arrangements to pop, but have a really elegant and timeless feel. We made sure to coordinate the different aspects of the booth by going with a white, lilac and purple color scheme on gray/silver linen. Take a look at some of our arrangements from the show:

August 15, 2014

Take a look at some of the arrangements we did for a wedding in August at Buffalo Trace:

The bride carried a bouquet of white roses surrounded by a layer of purple hydrangeas.

To coordinate with the bride, the bridesmaids carried bouquets of purple hydrangeas.

For the ceremony we filled two tall cylinders with a mix of purple and white hydrangeas, lilies, roses, stock and gladiolus. These were placed on two barrels at the beginning of the aisle.

For the pew markers we did a floral spray of purple and white hydrangeas, stock, roses and greenery.

Kim and Bill's Wedding at Embassy Suites

We kicked off our series of August events with Bill and Kim's wedding this past weekend. The ceremony and reception were at Embassy Suites and the staff there was so great to work with; super helpful and very accommodating.  Kim wanted mostly white flowers with just a touch of a blush pink:

I loved Kim's bouquet- so soft and elegant! We used white and blush pink roses, crystal blush calla lilies, silver brunia berries and dusty miller.

Her MOH carried a smaller version for her bouquet

The corsages and boutonnieres were made of blush pink spray roses and dusty miller. We added silver brunia berries to make the groom's stand out.

To frame the ceremony space we made two large arrangements of white and blush flowers: hydrangeas, roses, gladiolus and bells of ireland. We used vines to hang down the arrangements and wrap around the tall columns.

For the head table we made a stunning arrangement of white hydrangeas, blush roses and crystal blush calla lilies with accents of dusty miller.

For the centerpieces and guest book arrangement we created floral wreaths of hydrangeas, roses and dusty miller to surround a hurricane.

Fundraiser at Talon Winery

In July we did the decor for a fundraiser the Down Syndrome Association of Central KY had out at Talon Winery. Since they are a non-profit organization we were going for simple elegance without a huge expense.

For the food tables we did tall cylinders filled with curly willow and white hydrangeas and for the tables we used a burlap runner and had mason jars of white hydrangeas as the centerpieces.
